His responsibilities include the General Management of H.Studio, including the overseeing of all sales and marketing for the studio, as well as the manufacturing operations at the studio. He reports to Shlomi Haziza, H.Studio founder and owner. Mr. Paz, who has just relocated to Southern California from his native Israel, is a management and operations expert, having spent over 15 years in company management, operations & marketing products relating to a variety of industries, including the Defense, Electronic, Camping & Sports Industries, working with these industries in the U.S., Europe, Far East (China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, etc.) and Israel. According to Shlomi Haziza, who is known for his high quality, rich dramatic sculptural designs in his studio’s signature material of cast acrylic, “I have known Oded since I was a young man living in Israel, and am confident that he brings all the right skills and talents to this important position at H Studio.” H Studio has experienced substantial growth these past few years as the studio has expanded its distribution beyond Art Galleries to include better Furniture & Gift stores and E-commerce. H Studio, established in 1993 by Haziza, has concentrated primarily on original designs and innovations, which include its very successful Limited Edition Collections introduced earlier this year. Haziza has created beautiful works of art, vibrant in color and clarity, and limited the production in order to meet a demand from the studio’s Art Gallery clientele. “It is actually their clientele, who represent an exclusive group of serious collectors and celebrities, that demand distinctive artwork,” remarks Haziza. “We have been rather surprised, though, that our better furniture store accounts have done extremely well with the Limited Edition Collections,” he adds. H.Studio has created what it calls an “In Store Gallery” program for several contemporary furniture specialists nationwide (see separate story) and reports that several members of the Contemporary Design Group are amongst the studio’s best accounts.
